All righty!! Here I “Go”
Look at all the goodies you will receive with your “Go”
The Cutting System
The Starter Die which includes a
4 ½ inch square a
2 ½ inch square and a
Half square 2 inch finished triangle (with dog-eared corners)
A 10 X 10 cutting mat
Fabric pick
And a dust cover!!
As I said in my previous post, I choose harder shapes for me to cut.
The 6 ½ inch Apple Core (with notches for easy piecing)
The 6 ½ inch Tumbler (with dog-eared corners)
The quarter square 4 inch finished triangle (An Alex Anderson Die) and
A 6 X 12 cutting mat
Ready to start. Here she is in all her glory!
I have decided to start out with the tumbler die.
BUT, wait; I have just encountered my first problem. MY PROBLEM and many with poor eye site was where was the blade?
Hmmm, how do I find it, push it with my hands? Not a good idea, use a magnifying glass? No!!
Aha! I headed over to the AccuQuilt You Tube Channel. Yes they have their own You Tube Channel!!
Look at what I found, pure genius!!!
OK, my die is now marked and I am ready to “Go”.
With a touch of fall in the air the first fun idea I had was to make a scrappy Halloween Pillow!
So, here are my fabric scraps for this project.
I choose some fabrics and laid them on the foam side of the die.
Placed the cutting mat on top.
And started to roll!!
Look at these beauties!!!
Hmmm, I had a lot of smaller pieces that I wanted to use, so, I made my own fabric!
Are you kidding, how cute are these!!
OK, stop playing Jane; and now I will try to sew them together. With the dog-eared corners it was so simple to match the pieces
Off to the machine.
Perfect!!
Look at what I did in less than ten minutes!!
Nuts to the pillow!! I am going to make a scrappy Halloween Quilt.
Look at all the pieces I made in under five minutes.
There is one very had part about this machine;
Picking out the fabrics!!!!
I am off to "Go" and have some more fun!
See you later!
