My choices….

About a month ago, I wrote this POST;

I asked you what type of sewing machine you had and loved and what brand of thread you used for piecing. I was thrilled with all the answers, advice and help you shared.

Here is my decision on thread...

As soon as I find a store that carries these brands I am going to try Aurifil and Masterpiece by Superior.

I also took your advice and gave a sewing machine I was thinking of buying a test drive....

There we only a few things I wanted in a machine:

a strong workhorse
one that could work with any thickness of fabric
no fancy stitches
no embroidery

just one who would sew and not give me any trouble.

I already have two other machines with bells and whistles, I just needed a worker bee.

I only have one dislike and I know many of you will disagree with me, but, I do not like the knee lift that raises the pressure foot. The silly thing just gets in my way, so I do not use that part!!

So my conclusion is that after many years of trying to find just the right machine, I, Jane Elizabeth, declare this one to be my new gem!!!
