This movie just makes me happy! And my Mom’s hair used to bounce like the girls in the movie.

Wedding Napkins

This is what has been keeping me very busy. I am making napkins for Emily's Wedding. I try to make four a day. i will be making 150 and I have about 50 done!!

Here is the fabric I am using

a petal pink print...

and a soft yellow....

When the Wedding is over they will be washed cut and made into a quilt.

Now I need to go and make my four for today!!

Have a nice day!!

QATW Blocks

Hi, I hope everyone had a nice weekend.
My was filled with shopping...
I found my dress for Emily's Wedding!!!!!!
Softball, in the cold to watch Maggie.
Laundry, oh my Heavens, laundry!!
and some sewing.
Here are my latest blocks for the QATW bee.

Have a wonderful day!

Hmmm......

What do you think?

Does anyone have the Accuquilt Go Machine?

I am thinking of getting one and was questioning a few things. I called the company and of course, silly me, they raved about the machine. but I would love to hear what you think.

Does it waste fabric?

I feel my fabric might look like swiss cheese!!

Do the squares stretch and then are not the same size?

Would it just be easier to cut the squares?

I feel that when I cut squares if the ruler is not set exactly on the same mark the same way they are off a smidge. And as we know a smidge can add up to another and another until you are way off!

So I am thinking this may solve my problem, but I just cannot decide!!!

Hmmmmm..............

North by Northwest (1959)

Staring;
Cary Grant
Eva Maria Saint
James Mason

Director: Alfred Hitchcock

Cary Grant (Roger Thornhill) is mistaken for a government agent and as he tries to clear his name he meets Eva Marie Saint (Miss Eve Kendall) and then is set upon a trip around the country trying to avoid being killed.
You must watch for the climatic ending on Mt Rushmore.

This movie ranks in my top ten list of favorites. I love all of Alfred Hitchcock’s movies, but there is something special about this one.
I really need to see Mt. Rushmore!
Have a great weekend!!

Are the stars out tonight…

I don’t know if it is cloudy or bright
For I only have eyes for you……….

“LILY”

For a girl who likes pink, this fabric is a dream come true. I could hardly breathe!! I must make little Janie a quilt using this fabric, I have no idea when, where or how, but it will happen, so please do not buy it all!!

Now I would be remiss if I did not also show you the other pink goodness I received.

Hi Lily
Hi Lily
Hi Low

Don’t ask me how know

(I know it is spelled Lili in the movie)

OK I will stop now,
now that it is in your mind!!!
